when i saw the topic for illustration friday (last friday) I was inspired to make an illustration because I didn't have one in my portfolio that I thought would work.... hence why I am posting this on thursday night!!!! I still wantto tweak it but... tick, tick, tick.
So, here is SLITHER (what an awesome word)
peace all!!!!
Beautiful colorings on the snake, made all the more striking against the stark white rock! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe snake just draws you in, such an intense contrast to the white rocks!
ReplyDeleteI like this viewpoint and the patterns are wonderful! You nailed the concept also.
ReplyDeletep.s. checked out your dress project images! Amazing!! I would love seeing your ephemeral dresses photographed on models.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks for checking mine out! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAnd dress project is incredible!
Wow, I like the colours, the black and white, the pattern, the idea, everything!
ReplyDeleteI kept on thinking "Not another snake illustration" and then I saw yours. It is so striking, I love it. The snake really pops out, and the rocks form a great pattern. Don't change a thing.
ReplyDeleteThe snake really pops on the black and white background! I love the idea of your "Dress Project", too. Are there more images online?
ReplyDeleteYour Dress Project is soooo amazing!! Wow!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I like your wonderful snake too :)
Hi Virginia,
ReplyDeleteit's fun to see you on illustration friday! I know your work well--I'm one of the resident artists at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, so I had the pleasure of living with your dresses for a while a few years ago:)
Cheers,
Kaetlyn Wilcox
I think they do slither like that unobtrusively, I like how he's in the rocks.
ReplyDeleteYour dress project is fantastic, inspiring and beautiful!
This illustration really stood out to me. Not only are the colors great, but I like how the snake is almost embedded in the stones.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty silther! I love the colors and lovely pattern on the snake and the way it's moving between the pebbles :)
